Scope and Content

Correspondence between F.B. Czarnomsky, director of the Polish Press Bureau, and E.T. Scott, relating to discussion of complaints by the Polish Press Bureau of the coverage of news relating to Poland in the Manchester Guardian, with reference to the details of a letter relating to the policy of the Polish government towards its German minority which is exposed as a forgery, and accusation of its suppression by the Manchester Guardian. There is also discussion of the reporting of an interview with Jozef Pilsudski, statesman, on the general election in Poland, and of articles in the paper relating to acts of violence against civilians by the Polish military and police in the Ukraine.

There is discussion of Czarnomsky's criticism of the correspondent for the Manchester Guardian in Berlin, [Frederick Augustus] Voigt, and internal memoranda relating to the sources and news agencies from which information is obtained.
