Saville studied medicine at Owens College and joined his brother in general practice in Radcliffe, Lancashire before setting up his own practice. Saville practised in Radcliffe for forty years and was also honorary surgeon to Bury Infirmary and Medical Officer to the Radcliffe District of Bury Union. Saville retired in the late 1920s to Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, where he died on 17 May 1937, aged 74.
