Sephton, of Wigan and Culcheth (near Warrington), was probably the brother of Richard Sephton. He gained his medical education at Manchester Royal School of Medicine and MRI before settling in general practice in Atherton, Manchester, where he practised for over forty years. Sephton died on 2 April [1934?] aged 90 years.
