Williams (later Griffiths) qualified MB ChB from the University of Manchester in 1935 and took the MD in 1955. She was a medical officer at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and worked at the cerebral palsy clinic at the Duchess of York Hospital, Manchester. Williams was a member of Manchester Medical Society and of Manchester Paediatric Club. She published several articles on the teatment of T.B. in children.
