Henry Wade was a medical graduate of the University of Manchester. He was consultant physician at Salford Royal Hospital, and at Trafford General Hospital. At Salford he headed the cardiac department for twenty years. He was also a lecturer in medicine at the University of Manchester. Wade was a specialist in chest diseases and diabetes.
