Shtetinin was born in Russia on 18 June 1913 and descended from the aristocratic Shtetinin and Matoussyvitch families. She left Russia on 31 Dec 1920 and settled in England, probably with her brother Nicholai (see above). She became a naturalised British subject in 1932. Shtetinin gained her medical qualifications at the University of Manchester in 1937, and soon afterwards changed her name to Seaford. She was junior assistant to the Royal London Ophthalmic Hospital and was a member of the Medical Women's Federation. Seaford was consultant ophthalmic surgeon to Stockport, Buxton and East Cheshire Hospital Groups. She married twice, changing her name first to Nina Sergeievna Seaford Warwick, and then to Nina Sergeievna Shtetinin Murray. She deposited her papers in the Liddle Collection which is housed at Leeds University (GB 0206 Liddle Collection RUS 43). These include papers relating to the Shtetinin family in Russia and England.
